It sounds obvious, but have you considered using Sketchbook for your schools’ entries for the 2025 JCDecaux competition?
The thought of digital drawing can make a lot of people/artists shudder, but when you think of it as another media choice, and begin to understand the endless opportunities to discover new textures and mark-making, as well as the ability to make mistakes and adapt quickly, it can be a really good choice for you and your learners.
It also means that your young people can begin thinking about their entries beyond school, giving them ideas for what materials they might want to use OR for creating their final piece.
Digital drawing still needs that human element, it still needs the artist to make all the same decisions along that creative journey.
With that in mind, if you would like to use Sketchbook to enter the competition (details/rules below) you will find our Sketchbook Basics video of good use.
It is chaptered into sections to make it easy navigate.
One of the rules of the competition is that the canvas size must be A4 or A3. To ensure your canvas is an appropriate size for this task, we have made this VERY short video to help.

Please note, we have confirmed with JCDecaux that Sketchbook CAN be used for this competition and as long as all rules have been followed then it absolutely can!
