GarageBand is available on all Edinburgh Empowered Learning iPads (1:1 and Shared).
Who is this for?
Primary and Secondary teachers who want to explore how GarageBand can transform a learning experience, incorporate music, sound effects and podcasting into the classroom.
No experience of GarageBand required, we will go through all the basics in the session.
What’s in it for me? Students are engaged and immersed in creating a resource that helps them bring learning to life.
How does it enhance learning? – Students use sound(s) to bring the learning or process to life. Verbal rehearsal improves written answers. Students have to consider a range of different information if creating a soundscape to accompany a story.
Quick Tips – Students can easily export their songs to Class NoteBook, GarageBand can be used to add a new approach to demonstrating the understanding of a topic.
