This session is a 1 hour online session. This online course explores how digital tools can play an essential role in establishing a culture of leadership of learning and high quality teaching in your classroom. Through practical digital approaches paired with the Inquiry Learning Cycle, you’ll learn how to plan meaningful opportunities for pupils to lead their own learning and build increasing independence. This course is aimed at those teaching learners in upper primary and secondary settings.

Session Outline
This course will focus on how digital tools can empower learners to take ownership of their learning through an inquiry-based approach, independent research, and creative ways of sharing understanding.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand how digital tools can support learner-led and research-led learning experiences
- Use Search Coach/Progress, Safari Reader Mode and other research tools to develop critical and responsible online research skills
- Apply the Inquiry Learning Cycle through given examples to structure inquiry-led learning
- Discover digital tools that support each stage of inquiry, including ClickView, MS Forms, Freeform, Class Notebook, iMovie, Keynote and more…
- Learn approaches for helping learners reflect on and share their learning through a range of multimodal tools
- Access planning templates and examples to embed strategies into future learning and teaching
