With the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow soon, our May live lesson combines exciting digital learning with the theme of keeping active.
Learners will get the chance to find out about the history of the Commonwealth Games and what to expect from the Glasgow 2026 events, before learning some Computing Science skills.

We’ll be look at using our micro:bits to create a pedometer, a tool that is incredibly useful for tracking our physical activity. So make sure you have these handy for the session! We’ll be using the micro:bit app to program the code. We will leave you with some templates that you can use to test out your pedometers, tying in a little bit of a physical activity challenge.
As always, learners will be guided step by step through the whole thing!
These lessons are aimed at Second Level pupils with access to 1:1 or Shared iPads with their teacher accessing Teams on a big screen.
