Supporting your Parents and Carers with CRIS

Online safety and digital wellbeing is an ongoing worry for our parents and carers, and often schools are the first place they turn for support.

We encourage schools to be proactive rather than responsive to incidents, and really get to know the needs of your community. Either way though, below are some pre-made presentations and helpful links that you can use to support your school community.

And remember, we also have this page to support Parents and Carers directly too.

Presentations:

All of these are designed to can be easily adapted for your own context. It is very important that you familiarise yourself fully with the content before choosing to share or use:

Internet Matters – Presentations and Flyers

Presentation packs as well as pdfs that could be sent to parents/carers should particular issues arise in your context

Childnet – Staff Led Presentation

‘Prezi’ presentation with script included. Although not editable, the script is designed to be adapted to your own context, and you can pick and choose your focus.

NSPCC – Recorded Session

Parents and Carers can watch pre-recorded in their own time, or you may wish to watch as a group to pause and chat.
