Website Accessibility

The Edinburgh Learns Digital website aims to be as accessible as possible. The site uses an ‘accessible ready’ WordPress theme and we aim to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines when creating content for the site. This includes:

  • ensuring web pages use enough contrast.
  • not relying on color alone when providing important information.
  • including textual labels for inputs and form Elements, and providing alternative text for supported media.
  • providing a consistent navigation system that can be controlled using multiple input methods.
  • organising content visually with relevant headings and HTML entities.
  • using responsive design.

We use the WAVE tool to periodically check for accessibility issues.

There may be cases where we use embedded media or documents such as PDFs where the format prevents us from meeting accessibility requirements.

If you have any feedback on the accessibility of the website then please contact us.
